Classroom poll template
How well did you understand today's lesson?
A four-level exit ticket students answer by phone in the last two minutes of class. See who needs help before tomorrow's lesson.
Ready answers
- I could teach it
- I mostly get it
- I'm a bit lost
- I need help
Free, no signup. The creator opens with this poll filled in, so you can change anything before it goes live.
When to ask it
Ask it in the last two or three minutes of class, after the final practice problem and before anyone packs up. The answers are fresh and nobody has to write anything.
A tip that helps
Keep the four levels the same all year. When the wording never changes, a shift from mostly "I mostly get it" to "I'm a bit lost" means something about the lesson, not the question.
Reading the results
If more than a quarter of the room picks the bottom two answers, open tomorrow with a five-minute reteach. If almost everyone can teach it, move on and use the time for practice.
